An issue that many high school debaters face is the decision about whether to attend summer debate camp. To many families today, paying for a child to attend summer debate camp appears to be a costly, if not unaffordable, luxury.
Thinking about the Georgia Debate Institutes (GDI) but worried about NFLs? If you're attending NFLs in Birmingham but would still like to attend the GDI, please let us know. Whether it is a single day missed or the entire week, we can work around your NFL schedule to ensure you attend and enjoy the GDI.

GDI 2013 has two sessions: One Week: Public Forum (June 23-29, 2013) $850 Two Week: Policy and Public Forum (June 16-29, 2013) $1700 Debaters who apply and make a deposit by May 1st will receive a $100/week discount! That means One Week Debaters pay only $750 and Two Week Debaters pay only $1500!. .

Resolved: The United States federal government should sustantially increase its transportation infrastructure investment in the United States. The United States' national transportation infrastructure is in shambles.
Welcome to the home of the 2012 Georgia Debate Institutes, a summer camp run by the Georgia Debate Union for high school debaters of all experience levels.
The GDI will be held from June 17-30, 2012 on the campus of the University of Georgia. While attending the institute, students will receive intensive topic instruction, lectures and exercises devoted to skill development, research training, and close attention from some of the nation’s best teaching faculty.
This year we are pleased to announce that will be offering a week-long camp session for public forum debate, the only camp of its kind in the state of Georgia. The public forum camp will be held from June 24-30, 2012.
In addition to the immediate debate-related benefits of attending the GDI, students get an early taste of college life, living in supervised dormitories, eating in UGA’s award-winning cafeterias, and having access to the beautiful library and classrooms spaces on the University of Georgia’s campus in Athens.
