Welcome to the home of the 2012 Georgia Debate Institutes, a summer camp run by the Georgia Debate Union for high school debaters of all experience levels.
The GDI will be held from June 17-30, 2012 on the campus of the University of Georgia. While attending the institute, students will receive intensive topic instruction, lectures and exercises devoted to skill development, research training, and close attention from some of the nation’s best teaching faculty.
This year we are pleased to announce that will be offering a week-long camp session for public forum debate, the only camp of its kind in the state of Georgia. The public forum camp will be held from June 24-30, 2012.
In addition to the immediate debate-related benefits of attending the GDI, students get an early taste of college life, living in supervised dormitories, eating in UGA’s award-winning cafeterias, and having access to the beautiful library and classrooms spaces on the University of Georgia’s campus in Athens.
